OF POPES AND PLANES AND GANDHI'S WHO ARE NOT OK!

People, some powerful ones and even some big organizations seem to leave their senses back at home quite often now a days…. Lets see 4 recent examples…

First up is His Holiness The Pope. Now while I may not be a practicing Christian (or even a non practicing one for that matter) but after my own Hinduism, I have always been partial towards Christianity.

However on his first African visit, Pope Benedict XVI landed Tuesday in Cameroon after telling reporters on the plane that condoms will not "overcome" AIDS.

Then just in case it wasnt bad enough he clarified further by saying that "AIDS is a tragedy that is aggravated by condoms."

In this day and age his words are not only crazy and stupid but also highly disturbing.
Maybe he is not infallible afterall.

Then in India, Varun Gandhi, the great grandson of Jawaharlal Nehru, has compared a Muslim political rival to Osama Bin Laden and pledged during a rally ahead of next month's national vote to "cut their (muslim) throats after elections."

He now has a criminal case filed against him and even the BJP, which is based on the concept of Hindutva has been distancing itself from him.

Maybe his inner voice is different from his aunt’s.

Then in the Philippines, a senior aviation official was suspended after his son nearly caused a plane crash.

A Cebu Pacific Air flight carrying 80 passengers was descending at the Legazpi City airport, 360 km south of Manila, when the pilot quickly pulled up after he saw a passenger van moving fast on the runway.

The airport later found that the van was being driven by the son of the airport official who was, now wait for it, teaching his girlfriend to drive.

Love. Ohh Love.

And last of all the OK! magazine of UK.

They are the same ones who pay millions for publicity exclusives like the pics of the Brangelina twins or some celebrity marriage or other.

Recently it has been going on and on about the Jane Goode story and selling her cancer as a 24 hour soap opera.

Yesterday however they stepped over the line (even by their own low standards).

They took out a Tribute Issue.

Complete with headlines like “Jane Goode 1981-2009” or “Her Last Words…” or “In Loving Memory” etc….

All very good and sentimental save for a small, itsy bitsy detail.

The poor girl is NOT dead yet.

Very sick? Yes!

But Dead? NO.

Wonder what the Pope has to say about this?
